i've recently [couplamonths] had no success posting on this board but today i'm on my ole pc so i'll see if it's a problem only with my two new pcs.
a few days ago i saw three hummers at once in my back yard for the first time since last summer. there have been a couple of lulls with no sighting for a few weeks but activity has been consistent for about three weeks now. this is my third year to have peanut back and there is one unidentified hummer that looks a female rt but with some small spots of red/orange under the eyes. it is full grown and i would think there would be no immature ones at this time of year so i cant attribute the coloring to it's being a young one. if this post works, i'll try to get a pic. dave in north lakeland.

Snookerdude,
Its now March 21 and I still am seeing immature male Ruby-throated. Had one here yesterday that is white under the chin except for a ring of color at the lower edge. And I am still seeing my overwintering immature, although he is pretty much fleshed out with color now. I have one adult male - not sire if it is one of the two that were banded in Jan. Can't seem to catch a photo of the right leg. I will try to post the immature male from yesterday.

Here are a couple pics. One you can tell is the immature male that came yesterday and I saw it this evening. The other is the one that spent the winter with me - was an immature but now has his full color or at least close to it.
