Just realized that this Female Ruby-throated is a returnee from last winter after picking a few numbers off her band. She showed up about three weeks ago and I have no idea why she waited so long to make an appearance.
She had spent the entire winter Nov. '12 through Mar. '13 here in the yard but wasn't here when Fred made his banding visit this past Jan.
Better late than never and she marks the third Ruby-throated that returned this winter.
