I have a hummingbird that comes around occasionally to get nectar from my milkweed (we have lots of butterflies too). This weekend I took the milkweed out because it was growing so insanely and wasn't very healthy. I planted new flowering plants and also brought the birdbath to the area. How can I use the birdbath to attract them, and what are some plants they can't resist? I bought a "hummingbird bush" and hope the name is true!

Bottlebrush Bush/Tree we have 3 in the front yard and we see humming birds year around. I put a feeder in one bush and place others on shepherd hooks around near the others. 2 are placed just outside the kitchen window and they have hummers coming and going all day long. We live in a older part of Port Orange, Florida. Neighbors call our yard a forest.

Rob, Ruby-throats weigh a little over 3 oz. on average. It's about a 3 1/2" bird.
