From Royal Palm Beach: i have a powder puff tree that the hummingbirds love. They have been wintering over for a few years now. The ones that are here now are extremly tiny - even for hummingbirds! - and don't seem to be too colorful. They are so fast I haven't been able to really get a good look at them to identify. I mostly hear them before I see them! This year i believe there is a pair that feed together, then a lone one (male?) who gets chased off. (I believe it is the males who are territorial?) Their chatter definetly changes and becomes aggressive when this single bird comes around. I'm trying to also get them to come to a feeder. So far no luck but will keep trying; love those little guys ?
