I put out my feeder up a couple weeks ago, after several birds flew by looking for it, and have been fortunate to have RT visits frequently throughout the day. It seems as if one female visits every 20 minutes or so, and she always flies off in the same direction. Is it possible she is feeding a nest of babies? Happy birding!

Ive been making my own "nectar" 4 parts water, 1 part sugar. I did not put red dye to attract the hummers. They seem to come without it. I've placed my feeder in the same location for years, in front of our dining room table, and the birds seem to remember, smart little buggers. I think they even tell their friends. Our cockatiel enjoys watching the hummingbirds antics as they zip about the feeder. They truly are a joy!
