He has been hitting the feeder for six weeks now.
My guess is he will be wintering over.

Vincent, I believe your guess is correct. Once a hummer has settled in for weeks into late Nov. early Dec. you can be pretty certain he/she will be around until late Feb. early Mar. Now you can hope that his presence might attract a western hummer looking for a winter home?

I have had hummingbirds in my back yard the last 4 years in Vero Beach, Florida . A make and female ruby throated hummingbird. I thought they came in October but I put my feeder out after Irma left Sept. 16th and had a visitor with in two hours. I have seen the make and female at the feeder but they will never feed at the same time.

Hi Vince! Are you still seeing hummingbirds in Stuart? My husband and I are moving there from northern Virginia and will miss our regular hummingbird visitors, but are hoping to get to see and feed hummingbirds in FL. Thanks!
