It's obvious that the number of hummingbirds in the state has drastically fallen in the past couple of weeks based on the number of recent posts, or more appropriately, the lack there of.
Ruby-throat migration appears to be over but there will still be some movement of birds as food sources are lost to weather events (frost, freeze, etc.) or the end of a blooming season. Migration of the western species will soon reach its peak with some new reports through the new year.
With the exception of those reports, I expect things to be slow in this forum. Please continue to check in periodically because when there is a report, it could be a good one. Click on the "View the 20 most recent posts of this forum" in the Forum Statistics box in the Info Center near the bottom of the Home page in order to quickly check for new posts.
I've also got plans to make a few changes to the general structure of this forum in hopes of making it easier to navigate.

I havent had a hummer since late September/ early October. Actually they only stayed around about 2 months. One day they were fighting over the feeder and the next day nothing!!! all of them gone!!
