In our Riverview yard (just south of Progress/Bloomingdale, west of US Highway 301) we have a hummingbird that has a white throat with a dark spot. It appeared January 12 around one of our firebushes. We hung 5 feeders and the little cutie has been here since Jan 12. It was the highlight of the week. We have had hummingbirds in our yard for the past several years usually for about two months — July August it seems. But this year we had maybe two or three for several months (starting earlier and ending much later) and we have never seen any in our yard this time of year. Wow! UPDATE Jan. 16. I read the descriptions of the various parts of this board and realized I posted the above post in the wrong section. I deleted it and reposted this unknown sighting in this part of the board. We have two hummingbirds in our yard now. We might have had two before, but today we saw two at one feeder. We also took these pictures posted on Shuterfly as best we could. John Riverview
