On March 28th at Ft Morgan in Alabama, Bob Sargent banded an adult male Ruby-throated Hummingbird that had a green gorget. Photos of this bird can be viewed at www.pbase.com/fdietrich/green. This was not in Florida but it shows that some variation in color is possible. And, Alabama's not that far from Florida.
