I have at least 5 RTHB at my feeders in Martin County, on the St Lucie River. I have 1 bully full throated Male he thinks all the feeders are for him. Then 1 other full throated male. 2 with some spots of color and 1 plain throated one. The feeder is about 5 feet from my window and I take lots of pics. They arrived over 1 month ago. Attachments:

I'm in Hobe Sound. I have one mature male who arrived about mid Oct. He loves my firespike!!!!! A competing male arrived about 3 weeks ago & tried to take over the territory. The 2 fought it out for about 2 weeks & the newbie finally gave up. Prior to mid Oct. there were 2 females who just passed through & 1 male but I guess they were all headed for points south.

Today I have seen a female repeatedly feeding in my yard. Here's hoping she sticks around.

What plants attract hummingbirds? Are they the same plants that attract butterflies?
