Glad to find you! We have a half acre here in Lehigh which is home to our Labyrinth flic.kr/p/cDA6WE a butterfly garden, and lots of birds we feed all year long. Last year I was happy to have Painted Buntings at the feeders. This year I was overjoyed to have Hummingbirds show up at the new feeders I put up for them. It took a while to figure out where to place the feeders. I have native Firebush, scarlet Pride of Barbados etc.. after watching them for awhile, I saw them mainly hanging around the Tangerine tree (not blooming yet) and the big Bombax (elephant) tree with the white flowers. I have photos of them flying around the flowers .. So I placed my feeders midway between the two sort of in the tangerine tree. I see them regularly now at the feeders. I use the cheap walmart feeders and I use the Audubon sugar water mixture 1:4 1 C sugar the 4C water as a supplement. I have watched them chase insects around the feeder. For now I just have the two immature male Ruby Throat Hummers flic.kr/s/aHsjz9srdR I am hoping to get more Hummers. The yards around me are pretty much barren. Anyone else here in Lehigh Acres??
