Hello, this may sound stupid but, how do tell if hummingbirds are comming to my garden if you don't actually see them? I have lots of hummer friendly plants. I also have a feeder out but nectar level seems to stay the same.

The best way to know if hummingbirds are visiting your yard is to see them. Sphinx moths are sometimes misidentified as hummingbirds with their similar flight when feeding at flowers and the fact that they are usually feeding at times of low light.
Hummingbirds can be heard if you're familiar with their vocalizations. Sometimes, I hear more hummingbirds in my yard than I see.
If the nectar level is staying the same and the it's not getting dirty/cloudy within a few days, they're most likely not being used by a hummingbird. Loss of solution doesn't necessarily mean a hummingbird is using a feeder. Wind, sun, and other birds may cause some loss of the solution.
