My husband and I spotted the first hummingbird (Ruby Throated) sighting Tuesday, March 22 at 5:50 p.m. Jacksonville, Florida, East Arlington. The feeder is located in a flowerbed in front of our home. We also have a feeder in the backyard. My husband spotted a Ruby Throated Hummingbird at approximately 5:58 p.m. at the backyard feeder.

Just had a hummingbird visit my back yard and window... (4pm 4/15/2016) We are new to this house, perhaps the previous owner had a feeder. University/San Jose area near the river. Partially wooded area.

Seeing several hummers in my yard on Westside of Jacksonville. First time to have a feeder up but they are feeding from plants mostly. August 2016

Aug 13 we are enjoying some hummers outside our kitchen window daily. They drink from the 2 feeders all day long! Williston, Fl (near Gainesville)

James, Your sighting shouldn't be your last. Northern FL has hummers year round and some really neat western hummers in the winter months. Keep your feeders clean with fresh solution and you should be able to enjoy them 12 month of the year, but there might be a few weeks when they are busy elsewhere. Be patient!
