Today I cleaned out my feeders and made new nectar. An hour later I saw a ruby-throated hummer at it. This is the first time I have seen RT at my feeders, I usually get Calliopes, and Broadtails.

Patricia, I hope the next time you see some Calliope's and Broad-tails in your yard that you report them to your local Audubon Chapter for verification. These western varieties are rarely seen in FL. so it's important that their presence be verified and documented.
