;D Last night after our rain storm, I saw one RTH sitting on a branch and then feeding on the Coral Honeysuckle Vine which they seem to love. After I went out to take some pictures of her, I saw her chase another one out of the yard. I sure hope they stick around. My firebushes are just starting to bloom so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will entice them to stay!!! BH Hernando County, FL

Congratulations!!!! Since you have two maybe you could send one over to me. The one I had only stayed a day. I still have that water plant for you. Will drop it off soon. Donna

Hi, I live in Spring Hill [Hernando] now so your posting caught my eye. I just joined 2 minutes ago (April 2nd 2011) and have no idea what I'm doing, but just thought I'd say "Hi". I'm putting up a hummingbird feeder tomorrow, so I hope I haven't missed them all? OK, good luck.

I've seen at least one (male) and up to three (2 males, 1 female) at my new feeder, every day (and often all day) from April 5th 2011 onwards. So far (April 12th) that's 8 days in a row! I too live in Spring Hill, Hernando, FL.

Hi, I just joined this site, I also live in Spring Hill and am very interested in learning what I need to do to attract hummers. I have a big shady oak in my back yard where we've planted some l, but I also would like to attract some to my kitchen windows. One faces north and is shady but is also where the central a/c unit is located...will that scare them away? The other window faces west and gets no shade at all. Please comment, would appreciate any help to get started here. We had lots of hummers in SE MO on our farm but don't know the particulars of attracting them here. Thanks for listening!
