this is my first post I have been having birds appear at my yard in Cross Creek , Alachua County for about 4 years. i have fire bush and a feeder on the east side of the house and this bird come occasionally. It use to feed on my Hibucus died of frost bite this year. I'm not sure how many birds I have here, but I recently read and article somewhere that you are keeping track of these birds, so I thought I'd find the website when I saw him again. Hope this info helps and if I can help in anyway I will keep writing, just tell me what to do

Thanks for the report. Every report has the potential to answer someone's questions. I receive many requests for information on where and when to find hummers in various locations, especially from people wanting to attract them. Since hummingbirds can be very local, I'm hoping these reports will provide more precise information than I could.

If you're only seeing them during the late summer early fall, they're probably migrants.
