Ruby-throated with a Band in Valrico

Will Randall was in my yard this morning photographing hummingbirds. He discovered the band on this one while processing the photos at home. This is the first Ruby-throated Hummingbird to be documented arriving with a band. I'm assuming he's one of the 53 that have been banded in my yard since 2002. Can't wait to find out who he is.

The "67" appears to indicate that he was banded on February 22, 2009 (Superbowl Sunday). We banded 10 Ruby-throateds in an hour, each of them having a "67" on their band. Seven of them were males.
