I just saw a very tiny hummingbird in my neighbors tree,it looked to be all grey,i live in West Palm Beach Florida it seems a little wierd because it's been so cold out side,last time i saw one i was visiting my sister in Fortwalton,Florida 2 years ago,it's been over 20 years sense i last seen one here in WPB.

I was very surprised to see your post. I have lived in SoFla since '84 and have never seen one here. But on Christmas morning I saw my first Florida hummer and it was very much like you described except to me it was a dull green/gray and very small. I was surprised at the color because the ones up north are so bright. The closest picture I've found that matches what I saw was of a buff-bellied hummingbird but they are supposedly not in our area. I bought a feeder immediately but never saw it again.  |
