I am new to the HB forum..but just wanted to post a quick sighting report that I have at least 2 hummingbirds feeding regularly in my yard. The female RT (?) in this photo has been feeding on everything in my backyard (Red Ixora, Red Hibiscus, Firebush, Firecracker and Nectar from my feeder...since August 1st. She flies in for a quick bite to eat about 6 times per day. Today I spotted a second hummingbird...at about 6:15 PM. This one had a bright red throat...and appears to be slightly smaller than the one I have been photographing over the past week. Very exciting to see a second one starting to feed in my garden. The Male went right to my feeder...and even perched on the little foot pegs... The female has never landed while eating. Attachments:
