shirleem - Where in Sebastian are you? I live in Sebastian, too. (Send me private email.)
I have hummers pretty much all year round. I currently have 3-4 male Ruby-throated hummers that have been hanging around since September. Before that, I seemed to have females which may have been chased off by the new males arriving in September. The current males seem to be the same birds. 2 adults and 2 juvenile males. They have staked out their new territories, one at each of my 4 feeders. I have a bander coming in February to band my birds for the second year. The bander came for the first time last year and banded two female Ruby-throated hummers but couldn't catch a third bird, a male RTH.
I am a firm believer that the more feeders you have up, the more hummers you will get! :-)
