This is the third time this fall I have had a Rufous in my yard. The first one was the banded female. She stayed a week and then left. The second was an immature male and I only saw it one day. That was nearly 2 weeks ago. This one showed up this morning and appears to also be an immature male but I don't know if it is the same one as 2 weeks ago. I had gone nearly 2 weeks without seeing a hummer-something that hadn't happened since late August. After this one was in the tree, I saw one at one of the feeder but I wasn't close enough to get a picture. I hope he hangs around -and that others will follow.
