I thought I had a hummingbird here in Sunrise Florida for a month or more now. But today I am sure there are two! I had thought perhaps I saw one chasing another last week but today not only did one chase another right past my patio but later one was perching on one side of the patio while another nectared on the other!
They are both females and I am assuming ruby throated since I had a male ruby throat last year so I guess this is a winter territory for them. They are constantly after my red shrimp plants and my dwarf powder puff with occasional trips to the rare hibiscus or firebush bloom.
