I diligently changed my nectar until a stressful week last week. I found mold in my feeder after 3 days. Now, I haven't seen my hummingbird who has been coming since Feb. I have been told they won't come back after getting bad nectar. Is there any way to re attract them?

They are usually a little forgiving and if it is still around, I'd expect it to return once the feeder is cleaned. The bird would not likely leave due to a dirty feeder assuming that there was other available sources of food (flowers). It could be possible that you hummingbird was a wintering bird that molted very late and just headed north. I've had a few birds stay until mid-May in the past. It may also be that the bird is nesting nearby and will be scarce while its on the nest. If it's a male, he could be on the move sowing his oats
