An adult male Rufous Hummingbird has been reported from a Lehigh Acres yard in Lee County. There is suitable habitat with a few old citrus trees, powderpuff tree, and assorted flowering plants. There was a hummingbird feeder in the yard.

Hello, I am also in Lehigh Acres Florida. I have a pair of Hummingbirds visiting my feeders now. This is the link to them on my FlicKr page. flic.kr/s/aHsjz9srdRThey are feeding on my Bombax (African Floss) tree flowers as well as on the native Firebush. I supplement with the Audubon sugar water mixture in the feeders. I'm not sure if they are juvenile ruby throat or not. I have been through my Sibley book, however i still can't tell what they are. I have a Labyrinth at my home and a Butterfly-Hummingbird garden. I am near Lehigh Middle School. Are any other members here in Lehigh? Linda.

Thank you Joe!
I was not sure from my Sibley who they were. (I'm more use to bigger birds) So far I have only observed these two.
