Monday morning just as it got light enough to see ,I spotted a female Ruby on a cape honeysuckle. She would feed and then settle in my crepe mertle, now almost leafless, rest and do some feather combing then go back to feeding. After about 20 mins she flew off and another showed up. This bird had a full dark gorget but the sun was behind the clouds so I could not see the red. This bird stayed busy feeding without resting. I was hoping he would rest so I could get the binoculars on him. This was the first time I have seen an adult male here. He only stayed in sight for a few mins and then I had to leave to get ready for work. Oh how I wanted to stay out there and watch. That was a great start for a Monday thoe. Lynne
