I had a hummingbird visiting my yard in Ocala this weekend. I am pretty sure it was a young male or female rufous. I watched it for many hours as it was feeding on my pentas and shrimp plants. I have not seen it since Sunday. I hope it returns. This is a first for me, as usually no hummers in my yard after November and only ruby throated until now. Very exciting!

Looks like a young male Rufous based on the rufous coloration on its rump. The females in my yard show no rufous from behind.

I put a feeder back out hoping it will stick around or bring friends. Here is another picture. I am assuming it is the same bird but the picture was taken earlier in the day so I can't be sure. Attachments:
