i've been watching 4 rt's for about 3 weeks now that are identifiable to me by sight. i've named 3 of them. the small male i call runt; the large male i call tubby; one female i call imp [because it has white stripes down it's side like an impala, the african antelope]; and the other female is nameless. so yesterday i'm about 10 ft. from imp and decided to look through the binoculars at her and as she? turned in a particular angle, i noticed she had a red dot under each eye. also the feathers on the top of her head looked like she was having a bad hair day. then i noticed that her bill was wider than other rts but not as wide as the recently posted costa. she? may be a male that is finishing a molt. she is certainly large enough to be an adult but size may not count in juveniles. i was hoping to get a pic today but the showers may not cooperate.
