I live in Hollywood fl, and had 4 hummers living in my yard since Sept. This week the 26 the two males left and yesterday the 30th was the last time i have seen the females. They are on the way north ready for spring.I know for sure because i would seen them everyday several times on my feeders and plants. I hope they have a safe trip back and I cant wait to see them next year

Excellent photos. I still have a couple hummers that were with me during the winter months with new ones showing up for the past two weeks, resting, refueling and moving on. Lanny Chambers has for years plotted the annual spring migration and you can view how far they have advanced on their journey north at his site: www.hummingbirds.net/map.htmlJoe M. Lakeland, Fl

The plants the hummingbirds are feeding on in these pictures are firespike, powderpuff (dwarf?), and a Chinese Hat.
