Still seeing hummers every day at just about any time I look for them. Mostly feeding on firecracker, red shrimp, Brazillian plume (blooms starting to fade, be glad when they rally) soap aloe, firebush, pentas four o'clocks and mexican petunias. One of the firespike has put out a flower stalk so I'm watching that. Haven't seen any adult males but one little guy had two tiny red feathers on throat. All others had clear throats or some streaking.

The last few days hummer activity has slowed down, but this morning I spotted one about 6:45 zipping around. I went out to watch about 9:30 and saw two birds feeding and dancing around each other. Another one joined the chase and for about an hour I watched them feeding / chasing. One I'm pretty sure was a female and I think the other two were young males- they each had a few red feathers on their throats. Feeding on pentas, cape honeysuckle, brazillian plume, red shrimp, firecracker, firebush, four o'clock, jatrophia & blue/black salvia

Lots of feeding and displaying by at least three RTs . I've identified one female and two imm males, both getting their red throat feathers. they are out there just about any time I look for them, feeding from the garden hitting all the plants mentioned previously, or hunting in the elms and oaks . There is a drake elm 20 feet from our deck and they like to perch there. I put a window feeder up last week but haven't seen any use it.
