Happy to see a lady ruby throated hummingbird outside my front windows, feeding at blooming bleeding heart vine on a trellis. She briefly chased away something else, so fast I didn't see. We are 3 or 4 miles inland from ocean, mixed shade under old growth trees: oak, magnolia, palm, etc. The trellis gets some sun and was sunny at the time of the sighting.
Have seen hummers elsewhere in neighborhood at other times, on aloe, some bush with red pom pom flowers, and orange trumpet vine.
