We live in Mount Dora. I have planted native Florida plant species around our house that hummingbirds feed on. We see hummingbirds on a regular basis throughout the day. The other morning I was sitting at the kitchen table for about an hour an saw 10. Earlier this year we had a female make a nest outside our upstairs bedroom in the Sweet Gum trees. Truly amazing. As for feeders, we haven't used them but I know people who have them right outside their door and they have success.

Live in Port Orange. For several years have seen hummingbirds but this year they came and then left. Or they are coming so early in the A.M. I am not seeing and same in the evening. Squirrels were a problem so feeder had to come out from under a tree. Next I had to go ahead and use a shepherd hook pole. Did not stop squirrels. Now the baffle and was able to stop. But hummingbirds like under the tree for security I really believe. I have to keep out or the squirrels jump from tree limbs since they can not get to them any other way now. I only have one feeder out. Change liquid every third day so not stagnant. Do you have any advice?
