I live in DeFuniak Springs FL. I was sitting on my porch this morning and a hummingbird joined me. Surprised me at this time of year.

A number of rare/uncommon species of hummingbird could be in your area now. Do you know what species is the hummingbird currently in your yard? An Anna'a Hummingbird was banded in DeFuniak Springs in January of 2008.

I'm not sure what kind it is. I don't know too many of them, would love to get a book so I can start knowing what comes around. What book would you recommend? Last year I had a bunch, I love watching them.
