On Thursday, September 24, Fred Bassett, a well-known certified master bird bander, will speak at the Hernando Audubon Society meeting in Brooksville. He will discuss what has been learned from banding wintering hummingbirds in Alabama and Florida. He will also demonstrate banding techniques.
The meeting is open to the public. It will be held at the Community Activity Center at 205 E. Ft. Dade Ave., in downtown Brooksville. The center is located between the main library and the Post Office. The meeting begins at 7 P.M.
