We will be moving to the Clearwater area early 2015. I am frantic as I sit here in St. Louis, MO watching "my" hummingbirds. I am making my husband crazy as I worry if I will see these precious little birds once we move. What should I expect?

I live in Palm Harbor, a little north of Clearwater. You won't be seeing many hummingbirds in Pinellas County. I saw my first one of the year this morning. I don't know what type because it was far away. They always seem to be far away and just for a fleeting few seconds. I'm from NC and there are lots up there. They seem to love one certain plant with red flowers. I don't know the proper name but it's called a firebush. Not to be confused with a firecracker bush. However, maybe you will enjoy our lizards and mosquitoes lol
