I posted my first RT sighting yesterday on the RT Sighting Board. How long do they tend to be around this area?
I saw a post about a couple RTs flying into windows at a complex a few miles south of me back in December, but yesterday was the first time I've ever seen one since moving in this house 2 years ago. She came back this morning.

Deborah - Use the Search function provided (usually upper right hand corner of these regional posts. I found several from Venice folks who have seen hummers over the years.
I provided the following from our Global Monitor, Joe. It is a cut and paste of a reply he provided to others asking similar questions about seeing hummers up and down the west Florida coast.
"Reports come in every year of Hummers over-wintering on the West coast, Naples to Cedar Key. Suspect that if you keep an eye out you will probably spot one or two, maybe more. They are not numerous but fairly common throughout the state in the winter months. Keep a good eye out!" Joe M. Sturbridge, MA
