Live in Levy county and set up my first ever hummingbird feeder and within one hour a sparkling black hummer with a red neck and maybe some green not much. This was the only one I would see until yesterday a much plainer hummer stopped for a sip (female?) Is this a Ruby Throat? It has no white at all but jet black with red neck.

Without a photo it's pretty hard to identify from your description, and knowing where your located would be a great help. It's unusual to hear of a "jet black" coloration unless the lighting was poor, are you using binoculars? Check this site under the "species" tab and see if you can identify your hummer. www.hummingbirds.net/
