Basically asking when does this area get hummers? And what kind? I live in the Kendall/ dadeland area btw Your best opportunity to see Hummingbirds in South FL is from fall (Sep.) through the spring (Apr.). Quite common Nov.-Mar. but less common during the summer months. Many reports and confirmation of western hummingbirds spending the winter months in S. FL. as well. The winter list includes Rufous, Black-chinned and Buff-bellied, along with the more common Ruby-throated. Regards, Joe M.
