Male ruby throat had been coming to feeder for about two weeks now, Palm City. Don't know if it is the same one as last few years but usually get male and female.

I have 3 RTH at my feeders everyday, I live next to Halpatiokee Park in Stuart, I have also seen 1 at Poppleton Creek Park on a Powder puff bush this week. 2 Males 1 Female One of the males guards the feeders and usually chases the others off but I have seen 3 at one time. When it was cold they were at the feeder at 6:45am until dusk. Attachments:

I'm not sure if Doreen will be able to make it as far south as Martin County but if she can, would you be interested in having her try to band your hummingbirds?
Feel free to e-mail me or send me a private message with any questions.

Yes someone can come and band, one of our other Audubon Members has hummers at his feeders also, if someone is coming maybe he will let you do his also. They would be much easier to track with bands the main feeder is about 3ft from my front window so we watch them all day.

Doreen tells me that she won't be able to make it to Martin County this time but would like for me to pass on her e-mail address. It's doreencubie@tds.net. She would like for you, and anyone else who is willing to have hummingbirds banded, to e-mail her and she will add you to her list of contacts. She'll e-mail everyone on the list before future trips so that she can better plan to visit all yards that are hosting hummingbirds. Steve

I now have 5 RTH at my feeders, 3 are juvi males all in a different state of turning. 2 adult males who have different markings so I can tell them apart also. I have 4 feeders and my firecracker plants are trying to take over my yard so they all have plenty to eat.
