For the last 6 weeks or so we have been having at least half hourly business on the 6 feeders I have scattered about the yard.
Most of the customers have been young birds intermingled with the 2 resident pairs and the occasional visitor from across the road, citrus farm literally over run with trumpet vine.
Over the last week there has been a steady decline in the amount of visits to the feeders to the point that so far this morning where as I would have had at least 30 visits I have had 4, all adults.
Not being a huge fan on TV I tend to sit in the gazebo at the back of the house on all bar the coldest days with my laptop in the morning before work ingesting coffee and I am afraid nicotine in about equal proportions to attain what I call consciousness.
The fact I am writing this is a good gauge that I am at least 2 coffee's into my day.
Anyway the point is that I am noticing a decrease in numbers of youngsters over the last 7 days and would like to know if anyone else is noticing this to.

I lied !
While I do not have the numbers I had in July I still have enough birds moving through to maintain regular feeder battles.
