At dusk tonight I noticed a moth that looked different than the ones I've been seeing. When I looked at the photo, I thought I was seeing things. It looked like a 5 spotted hawk moth but the spots were pink instead of yellow. Turns out it was a pink-spotted hawk moth, a relative of the 5 spotted ones.
This makes the 7th type of hummingbird moth I've seen here in FL!
