Hummer in Alturas Sept 2013

Just watched a lone hummingbird in our Fire bush. Last night we bought some new plants so we will add those as soon as he/she leaves this morning. I am assuming it is the same bird from last year.

Question: It has no coloring. It is solid brown. Thoughts?

Edit: I had white when its tail was spread out. Just no coloring on the throat that I could see.

Sounds like a rufous hummingbird!
