I live in Brandon, FL. I just put out feeders in my yard about 2 weeks ago, after visiting my parents in Tennessee and watching their hummingbirds. Within the last 5 days, I have had 3 hummingbirds in the yard. Previous to today, there were 2 birds, neither with much coloring. These 2 stayed perched on a branch of the backyard tree for 3 or 4 days and would frequently fly to either the feeder or plants. Then, today early afternoon a very colorful Ruby-throated showed up and seems to have chased the other 2 off as I have not seen the first two since this afternoon but the Rudy-throated has been here all afternoon.
